The Naam vegetarian restaurant is a Kitsilano institution, founded in 1968 it feels as if it hasn’t changed a bit since. With mismatched furniture and a creaky wooden floors, the atmosphere is relaxed and homey. Live musicians play in the evenings and local artists display their work on the walls.

Breakfast is served 6:00 am – 11:30 am through the week and until 1 and 2 pm respectively on Saturday and Sunday. The Lunch and Dinner menu is available the rest of the day and throughout the night. Check out their dinner menu and their breakfast menu for the rest of the goods.

If you’re with a group, do yourselves a favour and order the sesame fries with cheese and miso gravy to start. Their miso gravy is tangy, delicious and addictive, you can buy a bottle to take home here or at select grocery stores. Make sure to note the specials for a breakfast deal or delicious curry dinner. The pecan pie is delicious as is the strawberry-orange juice.

At peak hours the line sometimes stretches out the front door and onto the sidewalk, to avoid the rush come a little early or a little later. Naam is open 24 hours a day, 364 days a year.
